Did you apply to Cincy? Do NOT go to Loyola or Kent. Not sure how NKU places in Cincy, but it's a far better option than the Chicago schools.

If you have no compelling reason to go to law school this year, retake and reapply to Cincy, OSU, Louisville and UK.
EDIT: If you must go this year, I'd go to NKU.

You should really just take the year off work in cinci and reapply to UCIncy, law school isnt going anywhere

I know it's not, and I see your point. But I think my gpa hurt me, not my LSAT or involvement/experience so I'm going to go to school next year either way.dr123 wrote:You should really just take the year off work in cinci and reapply to UCIncy, law school isnt going anywhere

If you're going straight from UG a year or two off from school would probably make you a better candidate, plus if you aren't already instate at Cinci you could gain residency in ohio

Re: Loyola vs Chicago-Kent vs NKU
It's not exactly surprising. NKU may be a better option than the Chicago T2s, but it is not a good option by any means. If you are not at the top of your class, that could happen to you. Retake and reapply. Even if you have a really bad GPA, a mid 160s LSAT will open up a lot of doors.

Re: Loyola vs Chicago-Kent vs NKU
A lot of posters like to find a rule of thumb for a law school decision (some ranking versus debt ratio). IT DEPENDS: do you want to work in KY or Cincy? Do you have the personality to MAKE A DEGREE work no matter what the prospects? Are you fat? Do you have a pleasant face? Do you come across as cold and calculating or are you personable? Are you a female? If so, are you willing to sleep your way to a good job? Are "brains" a "b" or a "c"? Are you tall or short? In this economy, no one will hire a short, fat, sociopath - no matter what t-14 you went to.
Prestige credos might be applicable for kids with some brains and not much else.
Nevertheless, NKU does not have a lot going for it. 3rd best law school in the state. 2nd best in the metro area. You are looking at a lot of competition for jobs, but if you have the qualities discussed above and you do not want to wait a year, it could be a good choice.
Never overlook appearance or people skills, but I would wait a year.
