Has anyone emailed alumni from law schools where you have been accepted working in a desired market? I've used nalp and martindale to search for alumni from my prospective law schools. I wanted to email them to ask about their experience breaking into the market/law school in general, but wasn't sure if this would be a waste of time. My main goal would be to get a better assessment of the difficulty/likelihood of finding a job in a particular market from schools i'm considering in different regions.
Has anyone done anything similar and had any success?
I appreciate the feedback!

It couldn't hurt. The worst thing that would happen is that they just wouldn't respond. They won't blacklist you from every legal firm in the country or anything like that.
