Re: Cornell or UCLA?
do you want to stay in LA after graduation? Or, do you want to go the east coast, specifically NY?

Re: Cornell or UCLA?
If you ideally want to stay in LA, then it is UCLA hands down. If I wanted LA I'd only move away from California for law school if it was a top 5 school.PAR12 wrote:Ideally I would rather stay either in LA....Or possibly move to Denver - Random

Would that change opinions?

I'd take Michigan over UCLA because Michigan will give you better backup options than UCLA will.PAR12 wrote:Also, I am waiting to hear from Michigan.....

Assuming you want to stay in LA, then don your Blue and Gold and never look back.

Re: Cornell or UCLA?
Will Michigan place as well as UCLA in LA?
I see that some people voted for Cornell...What is the reasoning behind that?

Re: Cornell or UCLA?
UCLA is more likely to get you what you want.
Cornell is more likely to allow you to pay back your loans (even if the differnce is 5% - 10% of the class, that is worth considering), then again, I think total cost is more than UCLA. This may also be worth considering.
Michigan is more likely to get you back to California than Cornell and does give you slightly better fall back options than either of the others.
BTW, I vote UCLA. You will be happier there.

Re: Cornell or UCLA?
You choose Cornell because it is a better school, if only marginally. You can get a job in CA out of Cornell, though if you know you want LA then UCLA is better. Don't consider this just a regional decision though. Cornell is a national law school, UCLA is not.

Does Cornell have that much more national prestige than UCLA?

Maybe, mostly it has a bigger home market.PAR12 wrote:Does Cornell have that much more national prestige than UCLA?
