T10 (@sticker) vs. Regionally Respected (whole/half offer)
Is it worth it to pay sticker price to attend a T-10 that is not in your region when you have good T50 regional options that are offering half and whole tuition scholarships and you know that you want to practice in that region?

Some regions will take the T10 grad over their local school, assuming you have ties. So paying for it might be worth it.

Michigan (sticker)
vs.
Tulane (half scholarship)
LSU (full scholarship)
(LA civil vs common law complicates things somewhat as well)

Do not go to LSU if you want to practice outside of Louisiana. Tulane can get you out of state, but you'll need good grades. Not sure how a big school is going to place into Louisiana, since everything's so different there. Try to contact Michigan and see if there are any current students hailing from LA you can speak with about that issue. Failing that, maybe try and contact a couple of UM alums working in the markets in LA you're interested in and ask about how they ended up where they are.
Also, going to a top school is very advantageous for secondary market placement, but you need to have ties to the market, emphasize those ties, and network with attorneys in the market before you try to go back and get a job.

if it helps, i got a fully ride plus stipend at UMN and i decided to go to UVA instead. but it was 100% because i do not want to live and work in the upper midwest (i guess i could say just MN.) you are in a bit of a different place
