How much $$ from GULC would it take to sway?

GULC v NU

Post by SemperLegal » Fri Feb 04, 2011 7:57 pm

How much money would you need from GULC to pick it over sticker at NU? Or would you pick GULC at sticker?

I am fairly sure I do not want to do PI or Governement right out of law school (I may want to exit into an executive department General Counsel type role, however.)

I am really into Bankruptcy Law, though not 100% sure thats what I want to do.

Currently work at GULC, and I like the facilites and programs, though I do not mix much with the students (though now that I got in I will).

Also, if it matters, I do not drink; I would like a school with a not entirely bar-centric nightlife.

Another thing to remember; nearly all NU students have good WE, so if you are unsure about the relative quality of the job you had, then that is an issue, since at OCI at NU, nearly regardless of your grades, people will have good WE, and if you don't, it will be a problem.

I am in at NU and held at GULC, so if I am comparing them at all, I'll be comparing them at sticker. I prefer NU if cost is equal, but I'll be visiting them both at some point to get a better feel.

This right here is what I am concerned about. I am in at NU and GULC as well and I personally don't feel my WE is that strong.

Have you seen the kind of people NU admits? Stick around the board for awhile and you'll realize this poll is backwards!

Can someone give a run-down on the different lifestyles/cultures of the schools?
