South Carolina beat Alabama in football this year, which bodes well.

Credited. Strong athletics usually = more apps, even for law schools (name recognition). UF would be a T4 if not for the football team.Fred_McGriff wrote:South Carolina beat Alabama in football this year, which bodes well.

Marquette, Michigan State, Vermont, St. Louis, Gonzaga, St. Thomas and several others with the highest Tier Three assessment scores are candidates depending upon their financials & facilities since their bar pass rates are above average. South Carolina facilities are not good.

It's terrifying that someone would think this matters. If you were going to pick one, it wouldn't make the decision any smarter. In the rare instances where such a school is a good move, its not a good move because of some ranking at that point. Geography, preferences, etc. should all be infinity times more important than what a magazine says for a particular year. Just my .02.

Yeah, I tend to agree with this. Though honestly I think this applies to the full spectrum of all law schools more than most people are willing to admit. Even the very best schools tend to have regional placement biases, though obviously it is probably a weaker bias when talking about YHS and other T14 schools.Rand M. wrote:It's terrifying that someone would think this matters. Not likely - their facilities are terrible. As a matter of fact, the fences are currently down.Sandro wrote:JPLS - Jurassic Park Law School

Yeah, but I heard that they would spare no expense in rebuilding the facilities.soullesswonder wrote:Not likely - their facilities are terrible. As a matter of fact, the fences are currently down.Sandro wrote:JPLS - Jurassic Park Law School

You've got your facts wrong - they spared no expense in the initial construction, but now that it's unusable they've moved their law school over to Site B.EricBerry wrote:Yeah, but I heard that they would spare no expense in rebuilding the facilities.soullesswonder wrote:Not likely - their facilities are terrible. Supposedly they're considering adding a Site C in Grand Rapids.soullesswonder wrote:You've got your facts wrong - they spared no expense in the initial construction, but now that it's unusable they've moved their law school over to Site B.EricBerry wrote:Yeah, but I heard that they would spare no expense in rebuilding the facilities.soullesswonder wrote:Not likely - their facilities are terrible. The accidentally released them in order of rank rather than alphabetically one year. You can google that and see the top tier 3 schools.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
