Late Recommendation Letters

Post by rocon7383 » Thu Jan 13, 2011 10:59 pm

Most of the schools I have applied to have had my application listed as under review since the middle of November. However, I had asked a professor of mine to write a recommendation at the end of the fall semester. It was sent to law schools on January 4th. I assumed that a strong 4th recommendation could only be beneficial. My question is: Could a delay of a decision caused by a recommendation have a negative effect on admissions? Because that would be a bummer.

I ask because my app was completed at Cardozo on 11/16 and I have just read on this forum that students have been receiving calls from Cardozo for the last two weeks with the identical completion date.
