Is your response solely based on $$$?

Obviously. Both schools are in markets you are interested in. Both are of a comparable caliber. You shouldn't even be vaguely considering this. Full ride to Kent should outweigh anything short of T30 acceptances.credence023 wrote:Is your response solely based on $$$?

Yes. I was leaning towards that view as well.
Thanks!

I find it hard to believe that this question is being asked seriously, the moreso because Loyola hasn't even sent out scholarship offers yet. If this is just you being a jackass and bragging about your scholarship, fine, but if you're actually having trouble making a decision between the two then perhaps you should rethink your choice of a career.

IIT-Chicago-Kent is a well respected law school &, under the circumstances contained in your post, should be the clear choice.

I apologize for coming off strongly, but, had your question been as it was read by everyone, between a full ride at Kent and sticker at Loyola Chicago, then I stand by my assertion. The idea that someone would even consider foregoing a full ride for sticker at another school ranked 2 slots higher is sheer idiocy, making the poster either an asshole bragging about his full ride in a trollish fashion or a moron who shouldn't be getting into law regardless. I'm an accepted applicant deciding between both schools and take such trolling personally.
Now that you've clarified, your question makes more sense, although I imagine the general response will stay the same. Chicago and California are both tough markets to break into and, not knowing your scores and given this economy, I would personally err on the side of caution and attend Kent. T2 graduates have to compete against a lot of T1s in the same markets, therefore I would rather be competing for work with zero debt rather than $140k of debt.
