Rank schools in the order you would go to them

Post by ChanceMe233 » Sun Jan 09, 2011 5:52 pm

rank the top 20 schools in the order you would go to them. Bold the deviations from us news rankings.

1. Stanford
2. Yale
3. Harvard

4. Columbia
5. Chicago
6. Berkeley
7. NYU

8. Penn
9. Duke
10. UVA
11. Vanderbilt
12. UCLA
13. Georgetown
14. Michigan
15. Texas
16. Cornell
17. Northwestern

18. USC
19. Washington University
20. Minnesota

I hate the cold weather and dont have work experience (northwestern). I also want a smaller school.

I know next to nothing about Columbia's LRAP (as opposed to NYU's), but #4 is super-credited.

Basically it's the LRAP closest to HYS. It's downright gold if you land a government job paying over 60K ( it's the only non HYS LRAP that covers government jobs with good salaries).

1) Yale
2) Harvard
3) Michigan - visit
4) Virgina - visit
5) Penn
6) Chicago - visit
7) NYU (not visit but seen campus)
8.) Columbia
9) Georgetown
10) Vanderbilt
11)UT
12) Duke
13) Cornell
14)GW

I wasn't really interested in CA so no Berkley or Stanford (No real chance) nor very interested in NYC so Columbia (NRC) and NYU are lower than they deserve to be as schools. IRL I was choosing CN and down but went ED to Michigan to leave nothing to chance.

Transparent "Yale can't reject me, I reject them" trolling.

Live in that area for 3 years? No thanks. I'd rather endure Ithica

(None of CCN really appeal to me; I'd much rather take a substantial scholarship to a lower-ranked school).

haha well i grew up in TX and only want to go back to TX, which may also help explain my preference of schools

and TX is a unique market..where ties matter a lot and UT is seen as a very powerful hitter; in-state tuition + virtually a free ride = on par w/ NYU (w/ partial scholly) for me

I think it is an excellent choice. Seeing it there with those other schools just threw me off, haha...
