Law School Applications down for 2010-2011?

Post by ThomasMN » Sat Jan 08, 2011 8:12 am

I was curious if anyone has seen any information on the number of people applying to law school this year. Looking at LSN there seem to be less people applying, but of course that does not necessarily mean that numbers as a whole are actually down.

People are waking up to the scam. Especially at the higher levels. The smarter kids are able to make the cost benefit analysis that those at the lower schools overlook while being too emotionally caught up in the idea of more school. With the ability to retake LSAT as many times as one wants the upper schools can still find people who have high scores to take those spots.

Down by about 12.5% according to LSAC , but this will vary by school.
