I am probably going to umich as well. But why commit now? What is the advantage? Might as well see where else you might get in.

Commit to Michigan.
You will probably get in Penn and NU.
The rest are doubtful.

if housing for law school at umich is anything like housing for undergrad at umich, most of the off-campus signing is done by the end of the fall semester...I'm not sure how much competition there is between law students and undergrads for housing, but I think your opportunities won't get noticeably worse in April/May as compared to now...

Hey whatever floats your boat. Personally, even though I feel there is a good chance I'll be at Umich no matter what, I'd rather not wonder what could of been. The anxiety of waiting for the other schools does suck though. I am not going to go up to ann arbor to check out housing till ASW so I have no real incentive since I can't check out places now anyways.math101 wrote:This. And I can get rid of this headache/checking TLS every other day for news on other peoples' UR movement.dextermorgan wrote:First shot at the best housing?dabbadon8 wrote:I am probably going to umich as well. but seriously....you'll have a MUCH better shot at BigLaw in NYC from CLS or NYU than Michigan. Just wait it out and see what happens. You are making a huge investment. Don't commit early because you can't handle the wait. btw, good luck waiting for your grades 1L year...that's more agonizing. How did you wait for your LSAT?

HLS CCN would be better but you have slim chances there. Berk if you want west coast. Prob not penn, as it's about the same as mich... unless $ or preference for Philly

no one will argue nyu and cls place better in nyc than chicago. that's not to say that chicago doesn't do better than michigan in nyc as well. obviously chicago will place better in chicago than michigan too, but i hear chicago is a tough market these days.megaTTTron wrote:subtle anti-chicago trolling.ZXCVBNM wrote:but seriously....you'll have a MUCH better shot at BigLaw in NYC from CLS or NYU than Michigan.
