3.55/167
Graduate of a small, well-ranked liberal arts school in KY
Got a 167 in Oct after 160 in June, so focused more on schools that prioritize higher score
Looking for a school that offers a strong legal education and good job prospects at a manageable amount of debt. I think I would enjoy living/practicing in midwestern cities like Louisville, St. Louis, Cincinatti, etc.
So far I'm def applying to IU, UK, OSU....considering UofL (I'm from Louisville) and Wash U (seems like high cost and my scores may not combine for a manageable amount of debt). I'm not solely concerned about ranking but want a good education and degree that has some weight outside of merely one city
Are there any schools I'm leaving off my list that may fit this criteria? Have thought about UNC (hard to get $$ out of state???) and William and Mary (most grads go to DC??). Please let me know if I'm mistaken or if there are any schools I should check out. Thanks

I would say UIUC and Case Western. Both are solid schools relatively close to your region and the app fee is waived for everyone.

No chance at UT out of state sorry, Vandy is also highly unlikely but at least residency doesnt matter so maybe a little bit of a shotSBL wrote:Obligatory vampire joke.im_blue wrote:47. Centre Collegedeadhipsters wrote:LOLcapn aa wrote:Graduate of a small, well-ranked liberal arts school in KY

Vandy is definitely tougher with those numbers. At least OP hits LSAT median for UT. OP doesn't hit either medians for vandy. No chance at UT out of state sorry, Vandy is also highly unlikely but at least residency doesnt matter so maybe a little bit of a shot

With any school, hitting one median is necessary but not sufficient. And I don't even get what you're trying to say after that.AssumptionRequired wrote:With UT hitting one median is necessary but not sufficient. lol to far below median GPAwhymeohgodno wrote:Vandy is definitely tougher with those numbers. Im saying his GPA is to low. UT loves GPA and OP is barely above 25% and hasnt said he/she is URM nor in state.whymeohgodno wrote:With any school, hitting one median is necessary but not sufficient. Re: 3.55/167
Some schools only care about hitting one median (especially if its the LSAT) so long as the other score isn't a complete disaster (i.e. sub-3 GPA):whymeohgodno wrote:With any school, hitting one median is necessary but not sufficient.
WUSTL
Emory
George Mason

Re: 3.55/167
I got into schools where I was barely at the GPA median and below the LSAT median. Not URM. I'm not saying it's likely, but if you're near the medians and it's a school you like, there was worse ways to spend $80 IMO.

I don't know about GM, but a sub-3 definitely doesn't kill an applicant at Emory or WUSTL. I'm pretty sure Emory accepted a sneaker that had a 166 last cycle and a friend of mine said there's a three-toed sloth that got a 167 in his 1L class at WUSTL.JusticeHarlan wrote:Some schools only care about hitting one median (especially if its the LSAT) so long as the other score isn't a complete disaster (i.e. sub-3 GPA):whymeohgodno wrote:With any school, hitting one median is necessary but not sufficient.

If you can breathe, you're in at Emory with a 167
