Northwestern ED boost
Long story short, I initially intended to ED elsewhere, but after my LSAT score and some other information, I have decided EDing Northwestern is the best bet. UNFORTUNATELY they require and on-campus interview (so for me a few hundred dollar investment) before November 15th. I've gone through the system and there are NO open times listed, but i was still planning to call and beg tomorrow.
ANYWAY, what is the general consensus on the ED boost for Northwestern? They aren't traditionally YP crazy, so I'm wondering if this is even really worth it or if I'm better off just blanketing non ED.

170 3.0,
-worked 30 hours and was married in college, started at 17
-have 6 years, including 3 years executive level Ad Agency WE
-A very good LOR from the CEO of the company (top 200 agency)
etc.
- But I think my question is still relevant. Lets just say for people on the edge, does EDing make a huge difference with NU? I've been told with other schools, EDing is really just a way to know quickly.

Yeah you're probably out if you RD. I guess try to set up an interview by November 15th or submit ED without one.Remnantofisrael wrote:170 3.0,

You guys suck. Not the truth, but you guys as I'm blaming you for facts outside your control.
I wonder if they will basically kick me in the balls if I ED but request a normal phone interview. Dangit.

I'd call the admissions office right now explain that you very much want to apply early decision and are willing to take any slot for an on campus interview ect.
If they open anything for you - I'd go- if you want to go there you need the ED boost

This statement is incoherent. Please clarify.Remnantofisrael wrote:You guys suck. Not the truth, but you guys as I'm blaming you for facts outside your control.
Northwestern does not allow off-campus interviews for ED applicants.Remnantofisrael wrote:I wonder if they will basically kick me in the balls if I ED but request a normal phone interview. Dangit.

Clarification: I am upset by what you said. However since it is an honest assessment I should not hold you responsible but rather appreciate the honest feedback. However, I will act like the average person and blame you personally anyway.
In other words- sarcasm.

Also, and I feel stupid for asking, when a deadline is by the 15th, that does mean on the 15th is acceptable, correct? I mean, I'm 99% sure of this from all my experience but I'd rather not assume.

Me too- you have been very helpful here and in the past so best wishes and hopes. If we both get in, I'll be living likely in a home in evanston so you'll have to come by for a good home cooked meal.naterj wrote:Yes. Check to make sure when your app has to be complete by.
As people have noted, call and see if you can somehow snag an interview spot.
