WHICH ONE? Fordham v.s. Quinnipiac $25,000 scholarship
QUESTION #1:
Fordham part-time program or Quinnipiac with a $25,000 scholarship?
I'd be paying sticker for Fordham, which means $200,000 in debt. Quinnipiac is located in CT and would be more like $50-60,000 in debt. The only strings attached to Quinnipiac scholarship are that I have to stay in top 50%.
QUESTION #2:
Just for the sake of argument, would your choice be any different if Quinnipiac gave me a full scholarship?)

What do you want out of your career?
That being asked, the answer is almost certainly Fordham.

I know this is going to raise eyebrows, but I'm not sure what kind of law I want to be in. I've never tried Big Law so don't know if that's what I really want.Cleareyes wrote:What do you want out of your career?

I see myself in either CT or NY, wherever I get a more appealing job.Cleareyes wrote:Where do you want to be?waitlisted1 wrote:I know this is going to raise eyebrows, but I'm not sure what kind of law I want to be in. +1. Although I suppose a guaranteed full ride at Quinnipiac may actually be a better deal than sticker at Fordham.mistergoft wrote:fixed for sanity.Cleareyes wrote:What do you want out of your career?

How you ended up with these two options is beyond me.

You'd be crazy to pay sticker and take on $200,000.00 in debt. In your situation, I'd take the scholarship in a heartbeat.
Coming out of school debt free actually expands your options more than you realize. With less debt, you might not be forced to take a position that you really don't want simply because you have to pay off your student loans.
Keep in mind too that the majority of people here have no work experience, no life experience, and have done nothing but dream about living in an urban cesspool while working "BIGLAW." Thus, advice you get from them will be centered on what they want to do, not necessarily what is best for you. Remember, "BIGLAW" is filled with arrogant, pretentious, blowhards who think that the world revolves around them. People talk about the "160K" salaries, but ignore the fact that many of these "BIGLAW" jobs require 80-100 work weeks and leave you no room for your own life. When you add in the fact that practically all "BIGLAW" jobs are located in the most disgusting crime-ridden, libtard infested, urban cesspools in the world, then you got to question if that is really what you want for your life.
