Pitt vs. UofR vs. UB

Post by SDviaVA » Wed Jun 09, 2010 12:53 am

Just got off the waitlist at Pitt. I am also waitlisted at Richmond and accepted at Baltimore with 8K/year. My question is should I......

1. Go to Pitt
2. Hold out for Richmond
3. Go to Baltimore

Couple things to consider......

I hope to work in D.C.

I hope to work in IP law

My parents live in Richmond and I could live at home to save some money at U of R.

Any thoughts would be great.

Might as well get this out of the way...UPitt likely won't place you in DC, though it's possible, and some students make it there. I've heard many great things about Pittsburgh the city though...this is all about where you would be happier working

According to this website's (which seems to be quite popular) Pitt profile

"employment prospects outside of the state are also available. Along the entire East Coast, and especially in DC and New York, Pittsburgh Law students are consistently able to land jobs as many firms from the coast visit Pittsburgh to interview top students each year"
