Penn, Duke, or UVA? In the South

Which would be best if a student was looking to practice somewhere in the south- Atlanta, Texas, Florida, etc?

UVA or Duke, its up to you I don't think one is so much better than the other.
I liked Duke better when I visited (small class sizes, admin. seemed more hands on) but UVA is tons of fun and is a beautiful school...if u get into any of the 3 you can make it.

You only want the south? In that case Duke. If you wanted more opportunity i would take Penn. If you specifically want Texas over the others i would take a scholarship to UT because Texans are crazy dedicated to UT. Florida.... do they even have law schools in florida? haha

Compared to what? NY? LA? DC? Of course not. But this is a state of 18 million people with 3 major metropolitan areas. The market is horribly glutted for sure, that doesn't really make FL special.

Actually, I personally know someone that is like top 5% at UF and on LR and has had a HELL OF A TIME finding any kind of work......

This isn't terrible advice. The Florida law schools are like any other low ranked law schools: they suck everywhere but their home turf, and even there it's not a sure thing.

Whoever gave you more $$$ - UVA or Duke. If sticker at both (or equal COA), pick the one you like better.
