Re: MOST UNDERRATED TIER 3
There are no underrated Tier 3's, and which ones will come into and out of the top 100 in the next few years have absolutely nothing to do with the actual merits of those schools.

Re: MOST UNDERRATED TIER 3
Not sure if I am just falling for flame here. But I think what they are trying to say is that judging which if these schools is "best" based off how they may move around in the 110-80 ranking range doesn't really tell you anything about the school or your prospects coming out in terms of employability and value for your tuition.
So what if Marquette goes from 105 --> 90? 1) Hiring partners in the field will likely not notice. 2) Just because Marquette jumped and Stetson didn't, you should resist assuming that this indicates any "real" objective reason why one is better than the other.
Once you get out of the top schools (whatever cutoff that is in your mind, but in would say top 15 or so and the flag ship in-state schools) you should choose your school based off the location where you want to work, and most importantly COST. If Stetson is going to be 40k cheaper than Marquette, there is NO way you an justify picking Marquette only because it ranks 20 spots higher on US News.

You are asking for advice in the wrong place. Most here would say that you are throwing your money away. Then, those people will pay sticker for the best school they can get into and emerge jobless.edge3900 wrote:Not sure if I am just falling for flame here. The fluctuations in rank do not matter one bit. The reputation of these schools, whether good or bad, is pretty much cemented in place among employers. That said, none of these schools will be top 50 schools in the near future.

Re: MOST UNDERRATED TIER 3
None of these school will jump to tier 1 if that’s what your asking. In your last thread you seemed concerned about making fewer than 100K in your future job. Therefore, it doesn't matter anyway because lots of T1 schools are having trouble getting their graduates ANY type jobs regardless of pay.
In this economic climate, I would not attend any of those schools for anything less than a full-scholarship. It’s a simple cost/benefit analysis, the cost of attending one of those schools is very high and the probability of getting a job is frighteningly low. Big debt with no job.

Stetson grads are getting screwed by the lack of jobs in small firms/local govt ITE and FL's hilariously glutted legal market.

Re: MOST UNDERRATED TIER 3
I'm not a rankings queen, but I hate it when people make generalized assumptions about those that respond to threads like this. The question posed was which of these schools would/could become T1. Most folks on this thread have answered that question honestly. Whether or not they are worth the investment, none of those schools will become T1 in the coming years. Nor will the reputation of any of these schools change.barkingbug wrote: You are asking for advice in the wrong place. Most here would say that you are throwing your money away. Re: MOST UNDERRATED TIER 3
I hate to rain on your parade, but I have good insider information (friend of a friend whose uncle works at Walmart and found the unreleased 2012 rankings) and I've heard that all three of those schools are tumbling down to tier 4. I also heard something about the creation of a new tier 5 to accommodate the massive drops of some other schools, like Texas Tech. Also, Miami is completely demolishing their law school to build a new football stadium. Just thought you should know.

I'm going with OP is a flame. If the two threads weren't enough, I think asking "what is a flamer" gives it away.

Re: MOST UNDERRATED TIER 3
But to stick to the topic I think PACE law is going to be TIER 1 very soon prob 2 years (insider info). I think most tier 3's are going to be turned into (tier TWO's) they are adding tier 5's but they are also adding tier TWO's next year (insider info). I think 100k starting is very doable for a PACE graduate. =)
