Is this a hard decision? What should affect this decision?

Where you want to practice. GULC may be a T14, but I would have some doubts about its strength to place its grads in NYC relative to Fordham.

Yeah if you want to live in New York its a decision. If not its probably Georgetown. But you know that.

In general I think GULC is a no brainer. If you were absolutely sure you wanted to practice in NYC, maybe you could make a case for Fordham, but I really think GULC's placement pretty much anywhere else outweighs fordham to the point that it doesn't offset the money they're offering you.

I dunno. Gtown's 2009 employment stats weren't impressive. They placed, I think 42-43% in top firms and another 8ish% in federal clerkships (see NLJ 250 firm placement and article III clerkship placement for '09). What does the other half of the class wind up in? While I don't think they're unemployed, I don't think they're making six figures either. I can't see how this is worth $200k. Its a gamble, though almost any school is.

But I'll admit that its a personal decision to make, based on career goals and geographic preference, if Georgetown is worth sticker.

Your math is a bit off. It's not $200k vs $0, it's $200k vs. something around $140k (Fordham - $60k). I think $60k is not enough to justify taking Fordham over GULC. I would recommend asking Fordham to up that number to $100k. Otherwise, GULC.
