Cornell vs. W&M

Post by chinagator » Sun Apr 18, 2010 10:51 pm

So faced with the choice of W&M with 72K (68 total COA) or Cornell at sticker (200K total COA), would the T14 status be worth it?

Couldn't be a more classic example of where do you want to practice? If you want NYC, go Cornell (WM sends some, but probably not in this economy) and if you want DC then pick WM. You want portability everywhere, Cornell

Depends on your goals/where you want to practice. you have a better chance of catching the biglaw train at Cornell but W&M can get you a quality education for less $$$.

Really depends upon your financial situation & where you want to work. My best guess is that if you want to work south of the Mason-Dixon line then William & Mary is the better choice, but if you want NYC or Boston then Cornell should offer better career prospects.
