I would pick Chicago, and voted for that, because I think whether you're happy during law school is going to depend more on you than what school you pick.
Now if you really strongly prefer Michigan, that's something to consider. Job prospects will be better out of Chicago, but the differences aren't huge. Most graduates at both schools get good jobs.

Ask Michigan for more money. Chicago is the better school, with better placement, in a bigger market, and opens up more opportunities. Then again, if UM raises their offer, in addition with the lower COL in AA, it might make a huge financial difference.

Which school has a better LRAP? Fwiw, so far this year Michigan has placed more than 20% into Article III clerkships...Chicago historically places more into biglaw.

I voted for Michigan, and I will also be attending next year, so I'm biased.
What did you think of Ann Arbor and the U of M campus? Honestly, I'm not sure that the students at Chicago are THAT much different from those at Michigan. I think the campuses and the environments account for most of the difference--and I do believe there is a huge difference--between the two.
