Loyola Chicago v. American v. Brooklyn

Post by ruggerinpink » Mon Apr 12, 2010 10:58 am

I am trying to decide where to put my deposit down, its between Loyola Chicago (30k/year) and no living expenses (I'll be living with my family) or American U. (no scholly) or Brooklyn (21k/year).

I want to practice in chicago and would get my JD/MBA from Loyola.
Also, I would rather not graduate with significant loans.

But... do the rankings make that big of a difference for employment? or should I stick with the school in Chicago?

Thanks for your help!

Loyola 100%. Rankings after the top 30 or so schools are pretty much pointless. You have to go with the best school in the region/city that you want to practice. Besides, you'll save money by living comfortably at home vs. a closet in NYC.
