Illinois v. Minnesota v. BU v. Notre Dame

Post by agapeh » Mon Apr 12, 2010 1:53 am

Hi,

I'm deciding between:

Illinois (30K)
Minnesota (18K)
BU (sticker)
Notre Dame (20K)

I'm also WL for UCLA. I assume if I get in that will be sticker? Is that worth the significant additional expense?

I want to go into tax law. I'm from the Midwest, so I'd be okay living in Chicago, but I'd like to keep my options as open and national as possible because I think I'd eventually like to settle on the East Coast.

For now, I think I'm going to put down the SD at Boston (to buy time to consider) and one Midwest school.

Any advice on Ill v. Minn v. ND? They are ranked so similarly. Any thoughts on what sets them apart would be appreciated!

Oh, and I am Catholic if that matters for ND.

Thanks!!

Have you asked to be reconsidered for a scholarship at BU? If not let them know about your other offers.

I am meeting with Fin Aid today to discuss. I have heard that BU does not negotiate based on other offers. Any experience with them?
