I am trying to decide between several law schools in Ohio. On the one hand, I want to minimize debt, but on the other hand, I don’t want to sell myself short.
I do want to practice in Ohio. Biglaw is not critical. I would especially love to hear from anyone with knowledge of the Ohio legal market.
Are the higher-ranked schools worth the extra debt?
Here are my choices:
Cleveland Marshall: full scholarship
Top ~33% of class required to renew (approximate)
Case Western: $35,000 annual scholarship (Tuition=$40,000/yr)
Top ~40% of class required to renew (approximate)
Ohio State: $12,000 annual scholarship (Tuition=$22,000/yr)
Top ~50% of class required to renew (approximate)
