Mizzou vs. Tulane?
I have a large scholarship from Mizzou, but I like Tulane better - Mizzou would cost less than half of what Tulane would though.
Any thoughts on which school would be more beneficial in the long run?
I'm not too keen on the idea of living in MO forever...

Re: Mizzou vs. Tulane?
I'm in a similar situation- Tulane vs less prefered but much cheaper alternative.
I think I'm leaning away from tulane but I'm going to visit tulane next week.
I'm having trouble justifying paying double to go to tulane. I've done the calculations and the monthly lone payments would be double for tulane. If I were to pay the same payments for both. If I could pay Tulane's debt in 10 yrs I could pay the other school's debt in 4.
In this economy I think the Job prospective at Tulane is not that much better (if not worse).

Re: Mizzou vs. Tulane?
So we're in basically the same situation.
I'm currently working in NY, and lawyers, (including my boss) and various friends I have spoken to here ALL say I should go to Tulane over Mizzou because Tulane is better known in many places, whereas if I go to Mizzou I will ONLY be able to get a job in KC or St. L. (That said, unless I do super awesome at Tulane I will most likely be in NOLA or maybe Houston... if only I could predict the future...)

Re: Mizzou vs. Tulane?
Do you have a preference between the two regions? I haven't done much research on Tulane, but I can absolutely vouch for the fact that Mizzou grads stay in Missouri. If the idea of working in KC or STL (in that order) doesn't appeal to you, go for Tulane. If you're cool with staying in the state for the foreseeable future, then I think Mizzou's a good choice- especially with the lower debt.
