University San Francisco Vs. Franklin Pierce for Patent Law?

Post by ME2JD » Tue Mar 30, 2010 1:54 am

Hey Guys,

What are your thoughts on USF (part-time) vs. FPLC for patent law? I’m from CA and I’m hoping to practice here after law school. FPLC seems to have a strong alumni base in the IP field and represented at top IP firms. But I hear that I should attend a law school where I want to practice. Thanks!

Absolutely 100% without question ignore specialty rankings. With equal vigor heed the advice to go to law school where you want to practice.

In other words, USF.

It's normally a very bad idea to attend any third-tier law school outside the locale where you want to practice. Choose USF.
