So I have no clue what to do. I know this has been asked over a thousand times, but I decided to give it a try.
Martial Status: I am married and my husband might not be able to transfer his job. We are both okay with being apart, at least until he can transfer or find another job.
Location: We currently live in Florida, but I want to move to New York.
Field: I'm very interested in Entertainment and/or Sports Law. I also interested in International law, as I wouldn't mind living abroad.
Money: Money is a big issue, I'm kind of debt averse. However, I would take out loans, if I had to.

Stetson is your best bet. Stay as close to your hubby as possible. You have to factor in travel costs to see one another if you decide to leave FL. Further, Stetson is well-respected and a logical choice for a "debt averse", FL resident looking to get a law degree. Plus, your other options (Hofstra, Loyola New Orleans) aren't really worth a big move/considerable expense involved in relocating IMHO.
Now about your ambitions to head to NY... what if your husband CAN'T swing a transfer for his job. Would he have to find a new job? Much to consider.
Florida is a great spot for int'l law! IMO, entertainment/sports law is a nice thought, but VERY tough to make it bc so many top students are looking to be the next Drew Rosenhaus (highly unlikely!!)
Good luck to you!

Yes, he would have to find a new job or stay in Florida, and I know he'll choose the first option. Thanks for your input, I appreciate it.LegalGENius wrote:Now about your ambitions to head to NY... what if your husband CAN'T swing a transfer for his job. Would he have to find a new job?
