CU v. DU$$ v.AZ$$

Post by Rey1412 » Thu Mar 18, 2010 12:58 pm

Help me choose! New to the site, and in desperate need of help. Hoping to live/work in Colorado. (3.66, 160)

CU Boulder
Denver w/25k per year
University of Arizona w/20k per year

I desperately want to attend Boulder, but am unsure as to whether or not it is worth it w/o any money?

Do you have residency in either CO or AZ, that makes a difference? In-state at CU is 10K less than DU to begin with, so the difference would really only be 15k per year. If you had in state in AZ that would make it an even better deal, almost full tuition. I think in both states you can get in-state tuition your second year. Not entirely sure about that though.

Out of state for both. Able to gain residency after the first year is true for both as well.

I think that if you have a really strong desire to work in Colorado you should probably go with CU. If you would be happy elsewhere in the Mountain West/Southwest then you should go to Arizona, it is by far the best deal of those options.
