Chicago vs Georgetown

Post by Dortner1 » Thu Mar 18, 2010 12:33 pm

Neither has offered me substantial funds though chicago has offered 10,000 per year which is nice.

I am interested in constitutional law, public interest law or international relations/human rights law. I could also see myself going into academia or attempting to secure a clerkship.

Chicago is clearly higher ranked but d.c appeals to me and I'd like to work on the east coast probably in Boston, NY or D.C.

Would I be crazy to take Georgetown over Chicago? Thoughts?

I'm a GULC 3L who is happy with the school.

But still, I would pick Chi in your situation. Especially since you are interested in academia. The Chi scholarship seals the deal. If we were talking full-ride at GULC it would be a different story.
