(Edited): Since my hopes of getting into Vanderbilt have been slashed, burned, and urinated on; these are the two offers i'm seriously considering. WUSTL will put me back a good 35k more than W&L, which isn't insignificant, but it seems like Washington & Lee isn't quite the school WUSTL is in terms of reputation in placement for someone shooting for biglaw. What do you guys think?

Let me start off by saying i'm still waiting on vanderbilt, but every day my hopes of getting admitted are shrinking, these are my best two other options. I have no preference for region whatsoever. I took in the total debt I would have from each school, the percentages from the latest NLJ250 employment, and did a cost value analysis so I already have some idea how they stack up (very close). I just can't decide if that extra 30G in debt is going to be worth the better employment prospects.

Edit: also, I plan on finishing #1 in my class at either school

Given that you'll be #1 in your law school class, you should go to WUSTL and transfer to Yale.

as number 1 in class, no need to transfer unless you want to be a law professor. you will have great job prospects at either school.
