Help Me Choose
Goal: private practice in DC
GMU - sticker (I assume)
Washington & Lee - $24k/yr (maintain 3.0)
WUSTL - $10k/yr
UIUC - $30k/yr
Also on the Cornell and GW waitlists, and I have yet to hear back from William & Mary. Please explain your reasoning for choosing one.

Re: Help Me Choose
For your goal, all of these options are "epic fails."
However, if one absolutely had to be chosen, Washington & Lee.

Re: Help Me Choose
W&L is your best shot because it has the best balance between overall placement rate in large firms and DC regional proximity. But the chances of getting DC biglaw from there are not good.

True, but even if you discount biglaw as a target, the placement rate in large firms is the best available proxy for your private practice options at graduation.Doodsmack wrote:private practice =/ biglawvoice of reason wrote:W&L is your best shot because it has the best balance between overall placement rate in large firms and DC regional proximity. Re: Help Me Choose
Well 10% of the class of 2008 (aka the Black September hires) from W&L ended up in DC. If only those 10%, or slightly more than that percentage, were seeking jobs in DC, I wouldn't call that an epic fail.Aberzombie1892 wrote:For your goal, all of these options are "epic fails."

Re: Help Me Choose
Now throw in Villanova w/ a full ride (provided I maintain a 3.25) and a willingness to practice in Philly.
