Rutgers-Camden, Case Western, or possibly Houston Law

Post by geekrocker37 » Sun Mar 07, 2010 1:25 pm

Right now, I'm torn between Rutgers Camden, and Case Western. I'm also waiting to hear back from Houston.

I am a NJ resident, and if I went to Rutgers Camden, it would only be a 10 min train ride from my house. Living at home for the first year, I'm guessing total cost would be about $26,000.

Received a 10k scholarship from Case Western, but with housing and other costs I'm guessing the total cost would be around $40,000.

Is Case Western that much better than Rutgers Camden? Is the cheaper cost of Rutgers Camden worth living with my parents for a year after being a free undergraduate?

Where do you want to eventually practice?

If it is in the NJ area, Rutgers is going to be better than either Case or UH.

If you would like to be in OH, or other points in the midwest, Case would be the choice, although that is still a hefty price tag. Case used to place people in NY if you wanted that, but ITE, I'm not so sure.

I'd choose Rutgers.
