3 weeks to decide, 3 schools. Please throw me any/all advice

Post by madmartigan » Fri Mar 05, 2010 10:18 pm

So I have it narrowed down to 3 schools. I have various scholarships at them so the cost is practically the same.

Short and sweet:
Wake Forest
U Houston
U Miami *for Miami the $ is contingent on being in top1/3. The other schools are reliable $.

Added context:
I want to live in a big city after law school and during if possible (but after is more important). Miami sounds like an awesome place to live. And Houston is good but less desirable than Miami (I think). If I go Wake, I would have to finish at the top and hope for Boston/NYC/DC.

I'm from TX and have family here. Most important is being able to get a good job (hopefully making close to 6 figures) & living in a big city.

Thanks a ton for any perceptive.

I'd say Houston over Miami

The houston market seems much more reliable at this point.

I don't know as much about Wake. I know its ranked higher but thats about it, so I let someone else comment on it.

Houston for sure.

But don't count on 6 figures. Nobody should do that ITE.

have you ever thought of charlotte as a city to live in? its a huge city, but it sounds like you're someone who likes the coasts more..if not i'd take a look at charlotte..you can't really live there going to school at wf but its only about an hour or so away
