Re: Toledo Law
So you guys think the housing just off campus on Secor Rd is not a good choice? I don't really mind being around undergraduates. I will probably go down there in the next week and check out some places.

Re: Toledo Law
Anyone know if there are any cabs around the University area. If I lived a couple miles away, and wanted to have a couple drinks with some friends, would I be able to grab a cab back to my place? Thanks guys.

There are cabs. All the bars have a cab company on speed dial.

Also, if you go to bar review on Thursday nights, SBA usually has someone there that can DD.

Downtown is fine. Problem is that there are no grocery stores and everything closes early. Other than that, you have quick access to Walleye and MudHens Games. You do have to be careful about the place you choose to live. There is quite a bit of Section 8 housing downtown. Also, you are bound to see homeless and street "walkers" peddling their "wares."
Downtown took a huge hit when Toledo banned smoking before the state banned it. A lot of bars, restaurants, and clubs closed shop and left the area. Downtown is in the process of rebuilding though and there is some life.
One thing to keep in mind, beginning of the first semester and end of the second semester fall during the beginning and end of MudHens season. You will have to contend with fireworks a couple of nights a week during those times. Could make studying a little frustrating.

Re: Toledo Law
I know of some locations, but not the names of the buildings. There is a building on the corner of Huron and Adams that houses a couple of law students. Also, there is a building directly across the street from the new arena where some students live. I wish I could be more specific. Your best bet is to take a day and drive around/check out places.
On a side note, try to stay North and West of the river. The neighborhoods are rough on the East side. Also, once you get out of downtown, the neighborhoods between downtown and campus are REALLY bad. I would seriously consider living downtown or west of campus.

I heard the LaSalle apartments are nice. My main criteria is having a safe and secured parking space, and apparently the LaSalle has a garage.
Also - anyone going to the bbq coming up on the 28th?

Just reserved an apartment at Country Club apartments. Anyone else living there?
