BU vs. Hastings/Davis vs. Loyola LA $$$ (poll) Forum

I'm not entirely done with my cycle yet, but the above is a choice I may have to make at some point (I've already been accepted to these schools, obviously).

Loyola scholarship is over 50% tuition.

Loyola's scholarship comes with strings attached (top 30%) so you can't count on it for all 3 years. Just something to consider......

But you can count on it for one year. And it'll be a lot easier for Loyola grad to get a LA job than a BU grad. Hastings/Davis v. Loyola is tough. Especially with the top 30% req. Loyola is expensive without money and probably places just a little better than Hastings/Davis is LA.

But I'm curious to know whether any of those BU supporters have any personal insight into the success of a BU grad in LA.

My friend went to BU Law and said that BU is aggressively trying to increase their alumni base on the west coast. My friend was intent on going back to California after graduation, and had no problem finding a job in San Francisco during 3L year.

it depends what kind of job you want. if you're not too picky, go with Loyola. If you want a good job, go with the UC's.

Congrats but that settles it. Half tuition, much better school than Loyola. Will place better for LA than Davis/Hastings. UCI, no question.

ETA: I am assuming you got the UCI half tuition deal that everyone did.

All the admitted students this year will receive 50% tuition for 3 years. The information will come in the mail, though. I received a phone call today, and I can't even remember what the dean said!
