any easy question about LORs

Post by icydash » Mon Jan 18, 2010 11:02 pm

When applying to schools, we can choose which LORs go to which schools, right? I have like five of them but only want certain LORs going to certain schools.

Correct, you choose which LORs you want to send to each school on LSAC's website during the application process.

Make sure you have an identifier on the request form you print out and give to the recommender (it will ask you for one when you print it out). That identifier will show up in the list of received LORs. If you don't put anything, then you won't know which letter is which (unless they are from five different people).

For example, John Doe writes two letters for you, one for Harvard and the other for Yale. You put an identifier ("For Harvard") in the form, and when the letters come in they will say John Doe L1 "For Harvard" and such.
