And you'd have to think that if the school is still open by the end of their 3L year, the 7 or so Dean's list kids will get some kind of legal job in the Fort Wayne area, so I'm taking this as a sign that it's likely the school will be closing soon. I would be shocked if the entering 1L class has more than 15 students (do we have any data on this yet?).

What a misunderstanding! You are seeing a prime example of their experiential learning approach. That Cumming Scholar didn't quit, he's getting to experience what life as a real Indiana Tech Law School grad is like!Atlanticist wrote:As stupid as expecting an honest politician in Washington or a law school dean to earn under $200k.....BigZuck wrote:More pond cummings plz
I almost capitalized "pond cummings." How stupid would that have looked?

Re: Indiana Tech Law School
Just to clarify, does this clause from the Indiana Rules of Court :Ricky-Bobby wrote:So does Indy TechTheSpanishMain wrote:Really wish Dean Alexander would come back.
"Section 4. Educational Qualifications. Each applicant for admission to the bar of this Court by written examination shall be required to establish to the satisfaction of the State Board of Law Examiners that the applicant is:
(A) A graduate of a law school located in the United States which at the time of the applicant's graduation was on the approved list of the Council of Legal Education and Admission to the Bar of the American Bar Association (the Supreme Court of Indiana reserves the right to disapprove any school regardless of ABA approval)"
mean that as things stand, any prospective grads of Indiana Tech Law couldn't actually sit for the bar in Indiana ?
Would love to know how busy the Registrar is right now fending off all of those second year applications........

I have no inside track on the individual I mentioned upthread, but without going into detail, their fb makes absolutely no mention of Indiana Tech Law School at all, and they've changed their status recently to "working at Pizza Hut".
Also, noticed another person had STUDIED at Indiana Tech School of Law on their fb - could be a typo of course, but I'd be amazed if all 28 matriculants enter 2L.
Shame no intrepid student could make it on here to give us the inside dope.
Or even the current acting dean.......

It defaults to the past tense if you don't enter dates at all. My FB has the past tense because I didn't do that.Atlanticist wrote:Zero attrition at this school ? Hmm........nothingtosee wrote:Brut wrote:"There has been no panic, and no worrying."

Well, it's possible that someone finished their first year and then decided not to return for their second. Or maybe Pizza Hut is just a summer job. Or maybe this person figures now that they're no longer a 1L they're allowed to have a part time gig. Weird that they'd scrub all mention of the school though.nothingtosee wrote:Brut wrote:"There has been no panic, and no worrying."

dean alexander probably saw how few people were applying c/o 2017 and fled
when indiana tech realizes that the law school will never break even, they'll cut their losses, sell the building or turn it into extra classrooms or something
alexander is just ahead of the curve

I get the hating on Indiana Tech Law School. It is well deserved and I support it wholeheartedly. The school is doing a complete disservice to every student it convinces to attend.TheSpanishMain wrote:Well, it's possible that someone finished their first year and then decided not to return for their second. However, some of you seem to really be getting off on criticizing students who go there. Clearly all these students made a mistake, but the vast majority also probably made the decision to attend with incomplete information.
Those of you going after these kids come across as elitist pricks. Warning future students not to attend such an institution is a much better use of your time than making fun of their current employment.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
