I'm sure those of you who have access are tired of requests, but if anyone could post the detailed stats for Richmond it would be greatly appreciated.

Nobody actually believes ASU is as good as BU or better than BC, Davis, etc... except for your parents.gravityrides0 wrote:brogoc wrote:Choosing BU over ASU if you want to be in AZ is ridiculous. Is there something in the US News access pass that isn't publicly available on schools' websites?abbottsbar wrote:I'm sure those of you who have access are tired of requests, but if anyone could post the detailed stats for Richmond it would be greatly appreciated.

Are your parents academics or on TLS or attorneys? Otherwise, why do they know about the ratings? Or did ASU's ranking boost make local news last night in AZ?

Re: 2013 Rankings
Hmm Pepperdine broke into the top 50...good for them. I can imagine Loyola being a little jealous but it's not like the shift is really going to result in anything tangible. You'd hope their reaction would be "oh...that's cool" but I'm sure they're breaking out the hookers and blow over there at Pepperdine. (That's what they do to celebrate things there, right?)
Not really surprised at Davis losing ground; #23 felt a little inflated.
Regarding the Harvard/Stanford swap: who gives a crap?

USNWR rankings only matter so you can brag to your non-law school friends/family.
"Hey Mom, I go to a Top 25 law school!"
"Yo bro, my law school is ranked 17th in the country." etc.

Lol I can't wait until the rubys dry up then chicago can have a nice dropAntipodeanPhil wrote:Since nothing is more important than these rankings in my life right now, I decided to make a chart listing the raw scores for the t14 this year and last, along with the difference for each school:
Observations:
1. Harvard is the only school that lost points. So TTT.
2. The Georgetown Dean deserves a big bonus.
3. The new tiers are clearly Y | SHCCN | BVPM | DNGC.
4. Chicago is catching Columbia - one more year of Rubensteins should do it.

Not really. W&L has been in the top 25 for most of the last decade.top30man wrote:Also lol at Washington and Lee. USNWR is driving drunk.

To be fair, they had a decent stretch where it looked much more like freefall than random variation. And the last 5 years have shown a pretty extreme variation for a school ranked that high.SpaceDawg wrote:Not really. I would also like to hear some more discussion on the UIUC drop. Is it a big deal? Should one not even consider going there next year?

If you had followed this thread at all, you would have learned that year-to-year fluctuations mean very little. Plus UIUC cooked their data, so the drop was obviously going to happen.diegoforlan10 wrote:I would also like to hear some more discussion on the UIUC drop. Is it a big deal? It's a big deal. I head employers in Illinois are refusing to hire their grads. Chicago employers are pulling out of OCI in droves.diegoforlan10 wrote:I would also like to hear some more discussion on the UIUC drop. Is it a big deal? Should one not even consider going there next year?

It was just 3 years of being ranked 30, 34, 30. For every other year that US News has ranked W&L, it has been T25.Antilles Haven wrote:To be fair, they had a decent stretch where it looked much more like freefall than random variation. Its sort of nice when your school keeps the same rank it had the year before. Its like being on an island of stability while the legal world around me (as far as students, and mostly 0L's are concerned) goes crazy.
