Columbia (sticker)
NYU (50k total)
UCLA (60k, in state)

I want to work in big law.

Thoughts?

assuming the person wants nyc biglaw, no way the marginal, albeit very real and tangible, differences between cls and nyu are work 50k of debt.

the calculus changes somewhat if the goal is to work outside of new york.

Im going to stay on the WL at Columbia, but not counting on anything.

I really wish Duke had a little more to offer in the L & E area (I know im comparing to THE L & E school, maybe im being harsh). I actually talked to a 1L about it and he kind of dismissed L & E, saying it replaced the objective of Law with efficiency instead of justice (the straw-man attack wasnt very convincing, in my opinion). Any other thoughts? Im thinking I will end up sending my seat deposit to Chicago tommorow at this point.
