Why. Nobody cares.

No jobs; the drop in rank is just insult to SEVERE injury.

1. No jobs? did you notice Emory outplacing WUSTL in the latest NLJ rankings?
2. Emory was ranked 32 5 years ago, schools fluctuate, no one cares.

Apparently a lot of people do.

I honestly cannot fathom how Minnesota bested BU in this year's rankings. It's got to be the law library. Minnesota has a huge one and BU's is a relative joke.

You guys are totally on your way to the T13

The T13 are, historically, the best 13 law schools in the nation. It is an institution, well-known among law professors and hiring partners, that is unlikely to be breached anytime soon.

What's funny is: if you talk to kids who went to law school from about 2001-2011, you'll hear myths about a "Top Fourteen," which from what I understand was basically the T13, plus one other school (I think it was, like, BU or something).

Not too bummed that BU didn't move up to 20 or into the teens. Its the same school it was an hour ago before the rankings came out, and that is one of the very best choices one can make outside of the T14 due to its placement stats that defy its ranking. Its sort of silly that schools like Minnesota and WUSTL are ahead in the rankings, but as long as recruiters aren't fooled by this (which they aren't), then I'm good. Though it must suck to be Emory right now, not that it didn't an hour ago.

BU also games the rankings. they embedded books inside the walls, every 6 feet, and in the foundation. this way the entire campus counts as a "library".

P.S. - I was hoping Northwestern would jump past Duke, but much the opposite occurred. Thoughts on this? I noticed Duke's admit numbers were actually considerably better which is weird to me because nobody seems to talk up Duke much. They have a good rep, but also a rep as a frat school. Also, what the f--- happened to Berkeley?

Also... how the f--- did Texas jump into a tie with Georgetown when their admit numbers are fairly lower, employment numbers are relatively the same. Am I missing something there?

You mean their NLJ 250 numbers? Does anybody on this forum realize there's other firms out there and that you don't have to get paid as much in Texas to take home the same amount of cash?

I heard about that as well. Along with the US flag. In fact, I think they're becoming their own country and breaking away from the continental US to become an island nation next to Cuba.
