You use both.

You could also wait for UCLA and USC.

Pepperdine (#52) is ranked higher than Loyola (#75) by USN. Interestingly, though, Loyola hit a higher pass rate for the July '15 exam than Pepperdine. Maybe that's what you're thinking of?
This is such a 0L mentality. Loyola has a better local network and reputation than Pepperdine no matter what the rankings say.

70-80k is actually a pretty common starting salary range at insurance defense mills in California. Your comment is without merit.
That is due to COL in CA. Anytime you see 70-80k in CA, NYC, etc. just think of it as 60-65k everywhere else in the country
OP only wants to work in CA and said he would be happy making 70-80k. Rest of the country is irrelevant here.

I was referring to the bimodal distribution of ALL lawyer salaries that you claimed had no merit.

Obviously the number of $70-80k jobs on the bimodal distribution chart isn't zero, but it's still a lot smaller than the number of ~$50k jobs.

The Bimodal Salary Curve was eye opening. I get the 160 chart-topper but I honestly though the 100- 125 range would be huge, and low for the under 50-60 figure (to me that was very surprising).

I had seen a similar chart before I went to law school and I still went. I think partially because I was barely making mid 20k per year so I may have thought that 40k was an improvement. But to be honest I was dead set on being an attorney so all the articles about law school being a bad investment did not deter me.

But yeah, I think the worst part for people who go to law school and come from good jobs is that chances are they won't be making all that much money or about the same. Although there's some truth that the earning potential is better for lawyers, it isn't all that great when you start at 35k-40k year, which unfortunately, I've seen it happen.

I suppose the hours might be better (true ?) and perhaps a slew of extra days off because of national holidays, but what else do you mean when you say benefits? Firm benefits are pretty good ….health, matching 401k plus the lockstep raises and bonuses. What am I missing here?
Your naive sense of wonder is endearing

But are you sure that you're a real life big lawyer? For reals?

I just realized Hastings's offer is confidential. This is the best offer that I've got against UCI. What to do?

Edit: Also, Chapman is Full tuition without stip. (just good academic standing) Idk if this will make a difference in people's opinions.

How did you get chapman without stip? did you negotiate that? because I was under the impression that all of their schollys had a 2.9 stip

Interesting, you are the first of 5 or 6 people I have talked to that has received a full tuition + no stip. Also, in your OP it says 2.9 stip. Are you sure there is no stip?

Okay i just wanted to make sure because like I said you are the first I have seen. Chapman is notorious for those high stip scholarships and yanking them after 1L. I will most likely be withdrawing my 80% scholarship soon here if I cant negotiate the stipulation.

I think so!

Yes. Hasting's offer is the most appealing but the amount that I will spend for living expenses will probably equal to what I would be paying for UCI. Plus I want to stay in Socal, close to my family, and work in Socal.
