Iowa has been the best option on your list the entire time. That said, your reasons for now deciding to go there are completely idiotic.

Why don't Darascal threads get locked like any other troll?

You've been on TLS too long to put stock in year-to-year rankings fluctuations.DaRascal wrote:I've been on TLS for too long to fall for it!![]()

Re: Iowa vs. Indiana
Sorry, everyone, I had to edit all my posts because rereading them gave me a serious headache! I want to once again thank everyone who ever helped me out on TLS. Romo, Nova, twenty, sublime, TS, and many others who I can't remember right now. This is decision week for me. IUB increased my offer this morning from $75k to $120k, so now I'll graciously ask them if it'd be possible to get the remaining $30k so that I can at least consider it against my UI offer.
My journey has been unusual. I went from having a 3.8 GPA during my sophomore year to under a 3.5 by graduation as I put college in cruise control confident that I was going to get the law school decision(s) I needed and not wanting to expend more effort than necessary. I went from getting a solid low 160 score on the LSAT on my 2nd attempt to never improving upon it given 3 more attempts. I went from having a pristine criminal record to having a dismissed harassment charge to explain. From lower T14 reserve and waitlists not understanding why Cornell didn't accept me to worrying that my red flags would preclude me from a full ride in the T1. From working a retail job at Lowe's the summer following graduation from a public ivy to making a solid $21/hour as an SAT tutor back to an overnight retail job for a few weeks because I didn't think things through and quit the SAT job two paychecks prematurely for what I needed to save up to make the move to the Midwest by June as opposed to August. Did I mention the part about gambling away ~$25k over the past 3 years via sports betting, horse betting, and poker?
You could say I squandered many opportunities, acted immaturely everywhere I went, and really sabotaged myself. However, this has been a wake-up call for me! It's time for me to learn from my mistakes and become a responsible lawyer! All of these mistakes are in the past, baby. So as I head west to the land of cornfields and cows, I thank all of you for helping me out. I apologize for disappointing some of you by not fully heeding your advice. I was just a kid and I didn't realize the gravity of the mistakes I made when I made them. So as I make this final decision, I remember all of you and how you gave me such sound advice! Will my 1L frosted tips be black and gold or cream and crimson? Only time will tell...
