lololol do you think medical school is "enriching?" Or getting a Masters in Accounting to sit for the CPA?

A law degree exists so that you can be licensed by the state to practice. I do not know how much enrichment there is in law..however I am just a lowly 0L

I have to tell you that tons of people enter law school married and leave divorced. Fighting about money on a daily basis is guaranteed if one partner is incurring $200k+ in debt and the other is gainfully employed. It's also a mistake to think that law school will be "enriching." Many people in my 2L class would not have gone to law school if they knew what they know now, and even people who are happy with the choice like me realize that a lot of legal work is tedious and repetitive. If you want an enriching experience do a masters degree in a humanities subject (Literature art history philosophy etc) and become a hs teacher. Those are genuinely enriching subjects and you will make back the cost of the degree in a higher salary.
I'm not remotely saying that the OP should go to UM at sticker, but I think the point about divorce and fighting over money being "guaranteed" is wildly overblown. You don't know a thing about OP's marriage.

I'd like to retract all of my comments - I don't know enough about OP nor her motives to give her any opinion on her choices.

Just make sure you really consider what you're signing up for before going 200k+ into debt, OP. That's some serious guap
