I'm still angry at your for the New Zealand is TTT comment.CG614 wrote:Pretty sure this thread nullifies the bold text above.Rand M. wrote:As shown by the fact that New York City, and NYU Law are both inferior in this discussion. NYU is just inarguably the 3rd best school in CCN (only because no other schools are included), and NYC is the most overrated city in the world. In both cases, the inhabitants refuse to accept all of the objective flaws of their school and city.CG614 wrote:Size isn't everything.Rand M. wrote:
It's the Willis Tower now. Update your references so you don't compound your wrongness. And given that it's almost 300 ft. taller, you are wrong indeed.

But... but... New Zealand is home to the largest flightless parrot (kakapo), oldest reptile (tuatara), biggest earthworms, smallest bats, heaviest insect (a Weta), some of the oldest trees and many rarest species birds, insects, and plants, in the world.CG614 wrote: That is because it is the only thing remotely interesting about it... ha

How about it if we all jointly bash CLS? Unity through common enemies FTW.

I'm in. Their 50,000 Cravath associates and one Ginsburg clerk per year are no match for our combined ownership of Richard Epstein.dresden doll wrote:How about it if we all jointly bash CLS? Unity through common enemies FTW.

BTW, Epstein went to Columbia for undergrad, so we'll see how long NYU can hold on to him once he is in the city. ha

And we here in HP sleep quite well, knowing that it's us that bring in new angles/ways of looking at things, rather than anyone else. Hth.

CLS is an overrated degree mill

NYU'ers also worry too much about their location not enough bout how much NYU sucks at everthing else.

Not really, just trying to get in on the friendly trash talk. Am originally from Texas and just finished undergrad in NYC. I chose UChi over Columbia and NYU because big class sizes terrify me.nycbiglawordie wrote:is there a reason behind your opinionUnTouChablE wrote:Ubber funny thread.

I lived in New York for 4 years and COL is retarded high.
I reasoned that ITE small class sizes would give me a better chance at those few rare jobs. I never consulted with anyone about this mind you, its just my personal thought.
We can really get into the merits of all three CCN schools but I don't think this thread was meant for that. If you are asking for my serious opinion I would be glad to describe my thought process. (0L disclaimer)

To be honest, they're good for different things.
If you want to clerk or work biglaw anywhere but NYC go to chicago.
If you want to live and work biglaw in NYC or do public interest stuff go to NYU.
The differences in USNEWS rankings and all the other bullshit that trolls will bring up one way or another doesn't mean much when you're within the CCN tier.

I can live with this a lot better than most of the stuff NYU people try to say. At least in your setup we get the entire United States.badfish wrote:To be honest, they're good for different things.

And yes, I hate Columbia. I think NYC is probably the source of my disdain for both. That place is just a soul sucking force.
