I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that you (and Desert Fox, and everyone else bashing HYS) didn't get into HYS. So, as someone who never had to make this decision, why are you smart enough to make it for us?
Wow! You really do see it as that different, don't you?

Then again, I'm one of these people, so that's probably why some of the basic operating assumptions of this thread have been rather grating.
If you aren't smart enough to realize an argument cannot account for small edges cases, I don't know what to tell you. You might as well be saying I'm wrong because trust fund babies have more than enough to cover it.
If you had been specific enough to say, 'If you want Big Law, take the money and run, sticker = stupid', I wouldn't have taken the time to comment.

Here I thought one of the biggest hurdles in law school was learning to move away from absolute 'right answers' and towards a more nuanced response. If you present something as an absolute truth, I assume you mean it as such.
I didn't present it as an absolute truth. The entire op is about debt load. If you are doing a path that pays off your debt it obviously doesn't apply.

But go on tell me what I'm supposed to have learned in law school.

Ray is working a job that most hls 3ls would literally suck dick for. I got my job over hls grads. We both probably have a better LSAT than you (and 3/4ths of hls admits).

What possibly makes you think you are smarter than us?

I suppose we can take solace that someone who thinks like this is only going to get hired by other people who think like this, and live in a hell of his own making.

Also, what else does "why are you smart enough to make it for us" mean than "I'm smarter than you"? Don't be disingenuous.

Why are you smart enough? Jesus, dude. Don't be that guy. No one wants to be that guy or associate with that guy. Also, you've made this claim before, and a) it's false (I got into HS and have seen multiple YHS people from all three schools on this site who regret going there at sticker), and b) it's irrelevant.

You do realize that there's no possible way he could have deleted a PM out of your box once it's already been read, right?

And changing your mind about sending a PM doesn't mean it's embarrassing. It can also mean you've decided not to waste energy on a pointless argument.

When you said that they weren't smart enough to tell you off bc they didnt get into YHS (and you did!). I'm so glad I'm not going to your school.

The resume bullet dick waving is so irritating precisely because you get out into the real world and then realize that your sociopath mid level doesn't give a shit about your resume. And its something 0L's apparently just can't process. They can't conceive that after graduation nobody will give a shit, except their parents.

That's what I hate about the law school game. Nobody can know where they'll stack up grade wise. So the debt vs job prospects equation is tough when you only get one chance at the roulette wheel.

Think like what, exactly? Please, enlighten me as to how I think. I don't recall saying anything other than that you can't throw around some all-encompassing model based solely on money to tell us where to go to school. I got bashed for that, now I'm being told I'm some sort of prestige whore? (?? I honestly can't tell what you're labeling me as. But I could not possibly care less about prestige.)
Also, what else does "why are you smart enough to make it for us" mean than "I'm smarter than you"? Don't be disingenuous.
Neither of us are smart enough to make decisions for the other. That's what it means.
So you're the one guy out of 10 in this thread who got into YHS. The fact is that no one in this thread chose YHS over $$$ and regrets it. There are a few of those people out there. There are also a few people who went to NW and wished they'd gone to Harvard the whole time. People argue in favor of the choice they made.
You do realize that there's no possible way he could have deleted a PM out of your box once it's already been read, right?
Yes...? The point is he deleted it because it was embarrassing.

emu, you're seriously making shit up. Just because you think DF must have been embarrassed by his PM to delete it doesn't make it so. (You clearly haven't read much DF - he's not really embarrassed by anything.)

And my comment "thinks like this" refers to this:
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that you (and Desert Fox, and everyone else bashing HYS) didn't get into HYS. So, as someone who never had to make this decision, why are you smart enough to make it for us?
and
I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that you didn't get into HYS.
"Thinks like this" = thinks you can judge the worth of someone's input on legal employment based on whether they got into HYS or not. It's not a good look.

C'mon man.. You can't legitimately claim you meant that "no one is smart enough to make this decision".

You pretty strongly implied it with "see you at harvard"
I messaged that to him after getting verbally assaulted in multiple threads. I don't actually think like that (but I do think that him not getting into YHS served as some motivation for him creating this thread.)
emu, you're seriously making shit up. Just because you think DF must have been embarrassed by his PM to delete it doesn't make it so. (You clearly haven't read much DF - he's not really embarrassed by anything.)
I never claimed to have any top secret awful terrible omg message, dude...
"Thinks like this" = thinks you can judge the worth of someone's input on legal employment based on whether they got into HYS or not. It's not a good look.
I'm sorry if that was the impression you got, but what I meant was not that he was dumber, but that he never had to decide between these two options, and that he perhaps held a grudge. I was not judging intelligence whatsoever. I do not think I'm any smarter than you...
