Stop with the nuance, bro. This thread is about drawing a line in the sand between winners and losers.

Winners: Chicago, SLS, Duke, Yale, NU, Mich
Treading Water: CLS, HLS, UVA
Losers: Penn, Cornell, NYU, Boalttt
K

Vanderbilt > Stanford

Hotter chicks and better music and better improvement in law school bl+fc

HTH

Also motion for vanderbilt to be permanently included in new TLS tier breakdowns in lieu of Georgetown. Sanction for failure to recognize the ascendancy of the commodores will be a 48 hour ban.

I do not support this motion.

If we want to make our club more prestigious, we should not replace Washington DC's favorite law center with some regional law school located in a weird state that no one ever visits.

I knew UCLA was a good option for some, but damn living in LA sun sounds so much better and cheaper (compared to GULC).

But there must always be 14!

What if we made #14, like, the Tomb of the Unknown Law School?

There's the rub. The "there must be 14" requirement has resulted in also-rans like GULC and Penn embarrassing the rest of us. I've always preferred T11--it just looks better. Let's get rid of GULC and the two bottom-ranked Ivies. That would leave us with:

YSHCCNVBDMN

That is a nice looking lineup. Wouldn't most of us prefer to operate in that rarefied air? Meanwhile, GULC, Penn, and Cornell can quibble over whether to admit Vandy, UT, and/or UCLA into their second-tier club.

You forgot to include the Philly campus's 77%.

Perhaps you should resort back to the placement stats and recompile your list.
LOL@the rigged "placement" stats. Yeah, let's count aspie Penn/Cornell grads who go to V80 NYC firms before getting forced out after 18 months. Just lol.

Kansas University had 13.3% BL+FC.

Only a few years until they catch GeorgeTTTown too.

My source is confidential but I'm working diligently on making the source publicly available. In the meantime, I think it would be criminal to withhold that information from a valuable thread like this one.

I know you and I have had our differences about your fondness for Penn, but I want to make clear that I think Penn is a damn fine law school—easily among the best 20 or so in the nation.

I openly admit it. I have long maintained that Cornell, uCla, and uPenn belong in the same tier.

Boston College just not complying with ABA rules here? Or I guess technically they have until tomorrow until they get into trouble? I was actually curious how they ended up this year.

I got an email from them saying that they will be posted tomorrow -- but it looks better. 91.5% overall long-term employment. I think last year they were around 37% for BL + Clerkships. But we'll see tomorrow!

Boalt had a lot more students go to small firms than last year. That seems to explain most of the change, and they had a few last clerks this year.

Just curious, any insight into why? Because this is what happened with USC. Their 2-10 doubled from 15 to 30 or so. Are these students that don't want biglaw or couldn't get the job or small boutiques that pay well?

lol @ the small firm numbers jumping because law students are suddenly copping boutique gigs that pay well enough to pay back student loans

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
