Why is Stanford leading the vote? Unless my eyes and computer screen are deceiving me...

I spent 10 minutes wondering this myself. I even voted Stanford the first time through and I am still puzzled.

There's really nothing objective or outcomes based that would lead anyone to advise anything other than Chicago. So, objectively, choose Chicago. And subjectively, only you can know where you'd prefer being and how much that's worth to you.

Serious question - I'm not considering any of these schools, but how does Yale have such a high yield rate if (reasonably) quite a few admitted students have options like this in front of them?

1) very, very few students have these options in front of them. about 20 students receive the Rubenstein and 20-25 the Hamilton each year, and a number of them are overlaps.

2) Of those that must choose between a Yale acceptance and one of those full tuition scholarships, most will also receive some form of need-based aid at Yale; of those that receive no need-based aid, nearly all come from very wealthy backgrounds where debt isn't an issue; and of those without family money or need based aid, well, that's Yale's margin of non-matriculation.

Well you're talking about 60 people who turn Yale down. I'd imagine it's something like:

40 T-14 full scholarship people
20 people who actually prefer Harvard or Stanford to Yale.
