Yeah... but just to clarify this point, I am pretty sure that there is 0 statistical data supporting the notion that someone who goes to HYS will end up making more money than someone who goes to CCN (or perhaps a lower-ranked T14) on a full-ride scholarship over their career. Unless you aspire to do something "big" (e.g., become a SCOTUS justice / become the the POTUS / join some fancy international PI organization / etc.), I believe the difference in career prospects is marginal. Even for the "big" things I listed, it isn't like going to HYS makes your chances of doing any of those things good.jbagelboy wrote:No jesus we don't need another thread like this.Seoulless wrote:About that last part. This is not me, but if someone said "I just want to make a shit load of money," how does HYS factor into the equation?
I bring this up because I never see anyone argue that as a benefit of going to HYS. As someone said above, 160k is 160k. What happens after though?
I wasn't planning on keeping this thread going but it seems like a lot of people want to chime in. I haven't found a thread with a lot of TLS new blood discussing t-4-10 scholarships vs. hYS. Maybe I should just change the title to cover that.
EDIT: Nice ninja delete, jbagelboy.
