Damn it! iPhone just erased 10 minutes of typing about UNM. I'll find time after my trial to retype it.
I'm leaving this here so I can hopefully remember to fill this in when it pops back up on vyp.

GW
Pros
1) There's a great coffee should 2 blocks away. I mean excellent.
2) I've met some great people.
3) You can get any firm sans a few from the top of the class.
4) Great stuff for IP kiddies here
5) Interning is pretty strong here
Cons
1) Expensive
2) Bad job placement in home market
3) School is admitting too many + too big of transfer classes, exacerbating job placement
4) Expensive
5) DC is a prestige sucking shit swamp with no real character, and whats left is being murded by condos and sweet greens.

HLS
Pros
1. Amazing job placement
2. More journals/clinics/SPOs/student orgs/speaker events than you would ever need
3. Large size means you'll probably find a pretty sizable group of people that you can relate to
4. H/P system where a large portion of the class looks like they're median or above
5. Awesome facilities and professors
Cons
1. Weather. Very humid when it's hot and the winter is pretty brutal. Not much in between
2. Cambridge is very expensive for what it is
3. Expensive if you don't get financial aid grants and grants are recalculated from year to year so you don't know your total COA going in
4. 4 doctrinal classes + LRW in the first semester
5. Lunch meetings run out of food/free coffee until 10 runs out well before 10/I get way less free booze than ASW insinuated
Overall it's great.

Re: 5 PROS + 5 CONS of YOUR LAW SCHOOL
Generic Midwestern TT State School:
Pro:
1. Scholarships - The school has thrown a lot of money this year trying to recruit stronger students. I am paying 1/4 - 1/5 of what I would have paid at a T50 institution.
2. People - There are some smart people here who really contribute to class discussion.
3. Research - Easy to get research assistantships if you get a decent grade in LRW. The pay is pretty good IMHO
4. Small Firm Initiative - The school realizes will not get BigLaw, so they focus on preparing students to practice in small firms by setting up externships during the school year + panels. The school knows what it is.
5. Law Review - Most students do not want it or see it as a "time-suck." So if you do not "grade-on," there is a reduced level of competition.
Cons:
1. Jobs - Big Law + PD/DA + IP in Mid-Tier cities is possible if Top 25%, if not your are SOL.
2. Location - Middle of nowhere..near a decent sized city, but the campus is so isolated, it feels like you are in another world.
3. Faculty - We have faculty from T5 institutions, who are upset about student quality. Students are lazy & unprepared.
4. Market - City where the school is located is VERY insular. If you are not from the state or a neighboring state, you are seen as an outsider and not one of them. Near impossible to get hired.
5. No Bar Reviews
6. No Public Transit
7. People - Either you are a student with a guranteed job because of family/friend connections(20%), Clueless about the legal market (60%) or a hard worker from the lower class trying to pull yourselves out (20%).
8. Section-Stacking
9. Minority population is non-existant. Sexually or Racially speaking.
10. Curve - C curve. It is a brutal and unforgiving SOB.

No bar review is trivial compared to the other two. I'm sure the beers are dirt cheap out in whatever flyover state you're in. You don't need the SBA's permission to drink with your classmates.

Vandy
Pros:
1. The people at the top do really well as far as job placement
2. Nashville is a ridiculously cool place top spend three years
3. Punches above its weight for clerkship hiring
4. The professors are really nice
5. The student body as a whole is pretty chill
Cons:
1. Job placement is not on par with the T13
2. Graded LRW is the worst
3. We get a lot fewer NYC firms at OCI
4. You'll have a tough time staying in Nashville after graduation if you're not from TN (speaking from experience)
5. Graded LRW is the fucking worst

If you want a change lets make it T10,T15, or T20 that would make more sense.

Re: 5 PROS + 5 CONS of YOUR LAW SCHOOL
I'll bite since I have somewhat legitimate very positive and rather negative things to say.
Columbia
Pros
1) basically everyone gets a great job; arguably best school to attend for new york private sector work. less stressful/friendlier recruiting process as a result
2) inspiring classmates, high achieving with interesting backgrounds but also largely collaborative and constructive. worth noting, the female population at least is more attractive than anticipated (and attractive relative to peer schools I've visited)
3) relaxed grading structure: only 3 classes counting towards GPA in fall 1L, only four types of "grade" notations on the curve, spring 1L gets more lenient curved elective, non-graded LPW
4) Manhattan. In the states, no funner place to live (although see #1 in Cons).
5) Part of an incredible internationally renowned university entity, which helps brings in terrific speakers, faculty, panelists ect from law and other social sciences -- very "international" character and lots of opportunities for student involvement in that character. And I'm coming at this with a healthy degree of cynicism about that kind of bullshit.
Cons (a lot of these are endemic of all law schools though)
1) It's expensive as all fuck. Jesus fucking christ.
2) earth-shattering administrative incompetence: no department functions as it should, officials/deans make student life more difficult even in pursuance of efforts to make it less so, and SJI/OCS provide far too few services employing far too many people.
3) shitty legal writing program, although can't complain about ungraded. still, I was definitely at a minor disadvantage during my 1L summer.
4) unattractive law school building, although beautiful campus kind of makes up for it
5) this only applies relative to NYU, but food in morning side is definitely on the *meh* scale
