I'm working down this list - http://www.hg.org/law-schools-texas.asp
So if you start at bottom, I start at top. Once we run into a page that is already edited we are done?

-Texas Southern
-UH
-TTU
-St. Mary's
-Baylor
If anyone wants to continue in my absense.

Re: TLS adopt-a-state week
One of the law schools in my state only has 2 sentences in the intro paragraph (and a short article overall). I'm not going to add the employment bit to the opening paragraph for that school - it would look like a total non-sequitur. I'll just add the employment and cost sections. They stand out well enough.
Also, I'm putting the employment and cost sections ABOVE "Notable Alumni" in my edits. Those alumni sections are dumb AF and shit beneath gets buried. Hopefully that doesn't violate any wiki norms ...

I put the employment and cost sections wherever I thought they worked best, so don't worry about it. I never read below "notable alumni" and I don't think anyone else does, either.cron1834 wrote:One of the law schools in my state only has 2 sentences in the intro paragraph (and a short article overall). Re: TLS adopt-a-state week
The 3 TTTs in Oregon are done. For Lewis & Clark I linked to LST for the single-year cost data instead of the school's page, because L&C's tuition and fees rundown was terrible - instead of a sum total figure, it listed a bunch of line items without specifying whether they all applied. The total COL was noticeably lower than LST, too, so I went with LST.

Notifying relevant WikiProjects is a good way to keep some eyes on the pages after we're done. Wikipedia:WikiProject Law might be a good one; WikiProject University of California is definitely a good one. Check the talk pages of each article to see if there are WikiProjects that might have editors who will add the pages to their watchlists.

Re: TLS adopt-a-state week
I was shopping a story on this around today, actually. I think it'll be mentioned in both NC and SC Lawyers Weekly, and I'm working on getting it in the local media too. Here's part of the pitch I sent:MistakenGenius wrote:Well, North Carolina is finished. Talk about a state with too many law schools. Check out NC Central Law, http://www.lstscorereports.com/schools/nccu/2013/, 14% employment score. That's gotta be the lowest I've ever seen.
I was just digging through the enrollment numbers for NC law schools and came across some surprising (yet extremely unfortunate) realities. I thought it would make for a good story, especially for those who are currently looking to start law school this fall.
The gist of it is that, while enrollment has fallen nationally to historic lows, enrollment in NC is still at historic highs. Given the terrible job numbers for the most recent graduating class we have numbers for (class of 2013), this is bad news locally even though things are improving nationally.
The NC-aggregate entering class in 2010 (which graduated in 2013) was 1625 students. The entering class in 2013 was actually larger, at 1630 students. The two worst-performing schools on employment metrics actually increased their class sizes enormously: Charlotte by 49% and NC Central by 22%. At the same time, Charlotte has increased its tuition an average of 4.9% each year for the last 5 years. NCCU increased it an average of 9.66%/year for residents and 5.32%/year for non-residents over the last 5 years.
All of this is to say that, while enrollments have fallen nationally, which should mean that employment rates improve, in NC the outlook remains grim because there are too many NC law schools enrolling too many people at too high of a cost.

Re: TLS adopt-a-state week
Who do I message to tell the data on LST for St. Louis University is wrong? LST lists the employment score as 50.5% while it is actually 55.5% (looking at the ABA data). This 55.5% data is also displayed on LST once you actually click on the "Jobs Data" tab, so I think this was obviously just a simple error on their part.
