ABA delay, unknown reason. I was told yesterday that this morning will be the earliest and tomorrow morning will be the latest.james.bungles wrote:in another thread he said he has to wait until wed. or somethingrodmanhust wrote:where is new data?jenesaislaw wrote:Remember, new data will be available Monday.

Once you receive the new data, any guess on how long it takes to transfer it to LST? Seems like that would be a lengthy task.

Re: New LST Score Reports Launched!
I've already updated the site code and prepared the database for input. I also have an LST-database spreadsheet that can speak to the ABA's new spreadsheet format this year. So, it shouldn't take but a few minutes. The more difficult task, which should still only take less than 30 minutes, will be adding all the schools to the state reports. That basically means associating the right schools with the right state reports.Dafaq wrote:Once you receive the new data, any guess on how long it takes to transfer it to LST? All told, it should be done within an hour of me getting the updated spreadsheet. It could be as fast as 30 minutes.

Re: New LST Score Reports Launched!
Thanks. In your experience are these wild 15 point jumps/declines driven mostly by employment? Seems like it would/should. Except the SFJ stat. To me that does not seem legit. No one writes a $200k check to land a SFJ. Do you have an opinion on that…. and the ATL rankings?jenesaislaw wrote:I've already updated the site code and prepared the database for input. FWIW: I saw today in their daily ATL email that it was due out soon (I never know what soon means

Ha, well I was the source on that, so that was based just on what I've been saying on here.
It is really difficult to know whether the wild swings are driven by employment numbers or not. Frankly, I don't think about it much because the rankings are not useful. I just don't see the purpose of using proxies when we have good data.

How about the ability to post key stats as a linked image, à la mylsn.info?

Take 2. SFJjenesaislaw wrote:SJB?Dafaq wrote:Site says I can create a custom report, eliminating SJB (public, etc.) Which is accomplished, how?
#1 UVA 95.6 employment, drops to 81% when SFJ are factored in. A number of schools have better than an 81% employment stat. Looking to make a custom report with SFJ factored out.

I thought you meant SFJ, but the (public, etc) thing threw me off a bit. Still not sure what you meant there.

Re: New LST Score Reports Launched!
I focused on LST's #1 (UVA), especially regarding their 16.2% SFJ and 20.9% public service employment. I just wanted to compare schools with those two stats out of the mix. For me (and perhaps many others) LS largely was about securing a six-figure employment which doesn’t include SFJ or public.
Custom report. If I am doing this right (when I eliminate SFJ and Public Service) UVA's employment drops from 95.6% to 81%. UT goes from 72.2% to 83.6%. I am questioning UT’s increase. Excuse the sarcasm, to some degree it feels like Microsoft wrote these custom instructions.
